1. You are welcome

Nobody here assumes you believe anything. Honest doubt is not an enemy of faith. Jesus himself welcomed questions, and so do we.

2. A bold claim

Jesus did not present himself as one teacher among many. He said:

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 (ESV)

That claim is either true or it is not, so it deserves a serious hearing. If it is true, it matters more than anything else.

3. Why it is more than a private opinion

Christianity rests on events in history: a life, a death and a resurrection, recorded by people who were there or who spoke to those who were. We invite you to examine the evidence as carefully as you would any other claim.

4. Why it is good news

The Bible says we are loved by God and yet cut off from him by our own sin. It also says God did not leave us there. In Jesus he came to us and took our failures on himself, so that forgiveness and new life are a gift, not a wage. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16, ESV)
